¿Qué te atrajo por primera vez al Ayurveda y qué te hizo confiar en él?

I came to Ayurveda after struggling with digestive issues for years that could not be "diagnosed" or treated by Western doctors. After my first Ayurveda session, I received a month-long "at-home panchakarma" that got things moving—literally—in just three days. My digestion was utterly transformed, as well as my energy and mood...so I was hooked after that!

The purported benefits of high protein diets (especially for women) have some truth to them, but I am wary of the recommendations that cannot be met through whole food sources (i.e., you need to consume so much protein you have to take a supplement/powder). Since most protein sources are dense and difficult to digest, I focus on consuming tolerable amounts of plant-based protein (beans, legumes, tempeh, etc.) based on how someone's digestive system responds and their activity levels. We're not all body builders! And, it's important to remember that, per Ayurveda, if you are digesting your food, ANY food you eat will feed all the tissues of your body; it's not only protein that feeds muscle!
