Understanding Menopause

What’s Really Happening in Your Body

For generations, women have navigated menopause with less understanding and support than they deserve. Yet menopause is not an ending; it is a profound transformation in a woman’s body and mind.

Menopause is not a single event. It’s an extended, fluid transition that unfolds uniquely for every woman, shaping the symptoms and shifts explored throughout this page. It progresses through three interconnected stages: perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause.

Your Hormones Shift With Life. Your Support Should Too.

The Three Stages of Menopause

What’s Happening With Your Hormones During These Stages?

What’s Happening With Your Hormones During These Stages?

The stages of menopause don’t unfold in neat, tidy chapters. You may move between phases, notice symptoms reappear during times of stress or poor sleep, or feel very different from your peers. This is because estrogen and progesterone don’t decline in a straight line - they fluctuate, stabilize, and respond to what’s happening inside and around you.

Title

The Hormones Behind It All

ESTROGEN

Fluctuates unpredictably during perimenopause, drops sharply around menopause, and remains consistently low in postmenopause.

PROGESTERONE

Begins declining in the late 30s, drops more steeply as ovulation becomes irregular, and stays very low after menopause.

These two hormones influence temperature regulation, mood, cognition, sleep, skin health, bone strength, menstrual cycles, and metabolism so when they change, you feel it throughout your body. More about that below ↓

How Hormonal Shifts Affect Hot Flashes, Sleep and Mood

As estrogen and progesterone shift, they don’t just change your cycle; they also influence how your brain regulates temperature, sleep, and mood. Understanding this can make symptoms feel less random & more like meaningful signals from your body.

How Hot Flashes Are Directly Linked to Estrogen and Progesterone

Estrogen: Normally helps regulate the hypothalamus. When estrogen declines, the hypothalamus becomes over-reactive, the body misreads its temperature as too hot, blood vessels rapidly dilate, and sweating and flushing follow the classic hot flash.

Title

Progesterone: Supports temperature stability and calms the nervous system. When progesterone falls, the body becomes more reactive to heat changes, stress can trigger more frequent hot flashes, and sleep disruptions can intensify symptoms.

Together, declining estrogen and progesterone narrow the body’s comfort zone so even mild changes can trigger a heat surge.

Why Ayurveda Matters During Menopause

Ayurveda offers one of the most holistic and compassionate ways to understand menopause - because it sees you as a whole being, not a list of symptoms. Instead of pushing the body to mimic its reproductive years, Ayurveda supports this transition by strengthening digestion, calming the nervous system, restoring vitality, and bringing the doshas back into balance

As estrogen and progesterone naturally fluctuate, the body asks for grounding, nourishment, warmth, and steadiness. Ayurveda meets these needs with daily rhythm, mindful nourishment, restorative rest, and targeted herbs that work in harmony with the body’s own wisdom.

Addresses root causes, not just isolated symptoms.

Supports multiple systems at once: hormones, digestion, sleep, mood, energy, and resilience.

Adapts to your individual constitution, making space for personalized care.

Helps stabilize hormones naturally through lifestyle and nourishment.

Offers a gentle option for women who cannot or prefer not to use hormones.

How Ayurveda Sees Menopause

Ayurveda does not view menopause as decline. It sees this stage as a powerful gateway into a wiser, more intuitive chapter of life-a natural shift from the outward-driven pitta phase to a quieter, more reflective vata phase. As vata rises, dryness, restlessness, and heightened sensitivity are not signs of failure; they are invitations to slow down, nourish more deeply, and ground the body and mind.

Title

A Supportive, Not Suppressive Transition

Through the Ayurvedic lens, menopause is:

Ayurveda encourages women to move through menopause with clarity, grace, and curiosity honoring the body’s innate wisdom.

When you return to nature, nourishment, and rhythm, your body remembers how to balance.

How Herbs in Osh Menopause Support Work

How Herbs in Osh Menopause Support Work

Osh Wellness Menopause Support formula brings together seven Ayurvedic and botanical herbs in a precise balance of cooling and warming energies. As estrogen and progesterone fluctuate, internal heat can rise, dryness can increase, and the nervous system can become more sensitive. By pairing cooling herbs that soothe heat and irritation with warming herbs that rebuild strength and stability, the formula supports steadier temperature regulation, calmer mood, better sleep, and grounded wellbeing.

Each herb plays a distinct role: some cool overheated tissues, some rebuild depleted strength, and others soothe the mind and support emotional steadiness. Together, they create a layered system of support.

100% Organic Botanicals. 100% Hormone-Free.

AYURVEDIC MENOPAUSE SUPPORT 👉

How Cooling and Warming Herbs Work Together

The formula uses four cooling herbs (Shatavari, Black Cohosh, Gotu Kola, Rose) and three warming herbs (Ashwagandha, Guduchi, Shankhapushpi) in intentional synergy.

Together, they support pitta–vata balance, the foundation of comfort during menopause.

Cooling herbs reduce heat, irritation, and inflammatory intensity.

Warming herbs rebuild strength, digestion, and stable energy.

Symptoms This Formula Helps Relieve

Taken consistently, this formula works across the nervous system, hormonal rhythm, liver detoxification, circulation, and emotional resilience, offering a grounded, plant-based way to move through perimenopause and menopause with clarity and steadiness.

Why Choose Osh Wellness

Women have navigated hormonal changes with fragmented solutions and little guidance for generations. Your hormonal needs don’t begin at 50. They evolve across decades. Osh is built with this lifespan view, honoring the transitions your body moves through from your first period to your postmenopausal years.

We Work With Your Hormones, Not Against Them

Hormonal rhythms shift with age, influencing temperature regulation, sleep cycles, mood, and cognition. When formulas work with these natural rhythms, relief becomes more sustainable. Osh formulates for distinct hormonal chapters - perimenopause, menopause, and post menopause - rather than treating menopause as a single moment.

Questions? We've Got You Covered!

Have a different question? Ask us at hi@oshwellness.com

Is this a good alternative to HRT?

Many women prefer to try natural ways to support their menopause journey before exploring medical options like HRT. For some, the natural support works, and they are able to avoid HRT altogether. Everybody is different and results vary. We recommend you consult your doctor before starting any supplement.

How soon will it start working?

Most women report feeling more energetic, having better sleep cycles, fewer hot flash episodes, and a positive mood within 1-2 weeks of regular consumption.

Balancing the hormonal cycles, managing weight buildup, and improving skin can take 8-12 weeks as the herbs work to gently restore hormonal harmony.

How long can I take it for?

You may take it for as long as you wish. Many women have been taking it for several years. However, you should take 2-4 week break after consuming it regularly for 6 months.

How does the money-back guarantee work?

We are so confident in our formulations that your purchase is backed by a 100% money-back guarantee. If, after taking it regularly for 30 days, you do not feel any change, just email us to start your refund process. The guarantee is valid for a maximum of 1 jar, up to 60 days from delivery.

Is the supplement safe? Are there any possible side effects?

Side effects from the ingredients in this formulation are rare and mild. While it is considered safe overall, we recommend consulting your doctor before starting any new supplement.

I've not noticed much impact to my health after trying these, but you might. I did appreciate these didn't cause stomach or bowel issues for me, nor allergic reactions.
I also like that the ingredients are natural and vegan; no harsh chemicals nor additives.
All in all, for the price point and natural ingredients, give these a go.

Good choice for menopausal symptoms & as a general wellness supplement

I'm not quite 45 yet, but will be in a few years, and after hearing all the horror stories about perimenopause from my friends, I decided to give this supplement a try to maybe help ease me into it. However, based on the ingredients in it, such as ashwaganda, this supplement would be useful for more than just menopause ailments, including bloating, anxiety, energy, and better sleep, which most of us could use. I'm not a huge fan of the size/texture of the pills, which are pretty large and the bottle says to take 2 a day, but I can get past that since it can be hard to find supplements in other forms sometimes. I didn't notice any real taste or smell, which is appreciated. It is hard to tell how effective they are, but I do feel a little better overall on a daily basis. This seems to be a good quality supplement if you want to address menopause symptoms and other general wellness issues. I think the price is a bit steep so I'm not sure I would buy another of this one, but I may change my mind depending on how I feel after I finish this bottle.

Natural herbal option that helps with hot flashes

These menopause supplements use an ayurvedic herbal approach to help with hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings. The formulation is aimed at women 45 and older, and it's refreshing to see a more natural, plant-based option in this category. The capsules are easy to take and don't cause any stomach upset.

After using them for a few weeks, there has been a noticeable reduction in the frequency and intensity of hot flashes. Mood has also felt a bit more balanced throughout the day. It's not a miracle cure, but the improvement has been steady. For anyone looking for a natural herbal supplement to help manage menopause symptoms, this is worth trying. I just wish the serving size was one capsule instead of two.

Gentle support rather than a quick fix

This feels more like a steady, supportive supplement than something that’s going to create an immediate or dramatic change, which is always something I think is important to know when going in to taking a supplement. I appreciate the herbal blend and that it leans more calming than stimulating, which worked well for me overall. The ingredients are honestly great, with things I've had work well for me in the past, all worked into a single capsule which is really nice. Ashwaganda alone is something I love included, I just wish it was clearer the exact dosages of everything. It was easy to take and didn’t cause any negative side effects. That said, it does require consistency, and the price feels really high for something that works gradually rather than noticeably right away and is only a one month supply. So I honestly can't see myself spending on it every month, but it's a good choice for those who are looking for exactly this.
